403 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> May 3, 1976 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were <br />present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Director <br />of Public Works, Mr. McCloud, Director of Public Safety, Mr. Nelson, Police <br />Captain, Mr. Cherry, Fire Division Administration, and Mr. Walker, Assistant <br />to the City Manager, were present. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSIONER INTERVIEWS <br /> City Council interviewed the following people regarding appointment to the <br />Planning Commission: <br /> <br /> Robert B. Anglin <br /> Cene Finch <br /> Kenneth Goodman <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Philcox recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 7:15 P.M., to <br />discuss pending litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox reconvened the meeting at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire stated that in view of the legal constraints in which <br />the City has been subjected to over the last few years and the limited sewage <br />treatment capacity which exists at the Sunol Boulevard Sewage Treatment Plant, <br />there was justification for looking at certain properties to be placed into an <br />S (Study) District~ In addition, she indicated that the City is now in the pro- <br />cess of preparing a Crowtb Management Program which will take some time and there <br />were certain properties in the City whose zoning was not in conformanne with the <br />General Plan. <br /> <br /> In view of all of these factors, it was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and <br />seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that Ordinance No. 784, to be read by title <br />only and waiving further reading thereof, placing the following properties into <br />an S (Study) District: <br /> <br /> Southeast Corner Bernal and Foothill <br /> Assessor's Parcel #941-3570-1-2, 18.6 ac. <br /> Zoned: R-1-65 <br /> Planned: Low Density Residential <br /> <br /> Southwest Corner Vineyard and Pico <br /> Assessor's Parcel #946-2528-6, 7-1, 2, 3, 4, 14 ac. <br /> Zoned: R-1-65 <br /> Planned: Park <br /> <br /> Rose Avenue, Northeast of Fairgrounds <br /> Assessor's Parcel 94-127... 10 ac. + <br /> Zoned: RM-15 <br /> Planned: Medium Density Residential <br /> <br /> <br />
