CONTRACT FOR CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AND <br /> BROWN AND CALDWELL <br /> FOR <br /> PRELIMINARY DESIGN PHASE OF <br /> CROSS-TOWN SANITARY SEWER INTERCEPTOR <br /> <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> <br /> THIS AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT FOR CONSULTING <br />SERVICES, executed on February 2, 1988, is made and entered into <br />this 5th day of April, 1988 by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />a municipal corporation (hereinafter referred to as "City"), and <br />Brown and Caldwell (hereinafter referred to as "Consultant"). <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> A. Consultant is qualified to provide, and experienced in <br />providing engineering services and has offered its services for the <br />purposes specified in this Agreement. <br /> <br /> B. In the judgment of the City, it is necessary and <br />advisable to employ the services of Consultant for the purpose of <br />undertaking their engineering services. <br /> <br /> C. Consultant and City desire to execute this Amendment <br />No. 1, to the original Contract for Consultant Services, <br />Preliminary Design Phase of Cross-Town Sanitary Sewer Interceptor, <br />in order to expand the scope of services and increase total <br />compensation for services. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants, <br />agreements and conditions contained herein, City and Consultant <br />agree upon the modifications to the original Agreement as contained <br />herein, and that this Agreement comprises the Amended Original <br />Agreement. <br /> <br /> 1. Consultant's Services.
