<br /> INTERVIEW WITH JACK VIZZOLINI REGARDING MOSQUITO ABATEMENT BOARD
<br /> At 7:45 P.M., the City Council interviewed Mr. Jack Vizzolini regarding
<br /> his reappointment on the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement Board for another
<br /> two year term.
<br />
<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG
<br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to
<br /> order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows:
<br />Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. Council-
<br />member LeClaire was absent. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney,
<br />Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Directo~ of Public Works, Mr. Harris, Di-
<br />rector of Planning, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services, Mr. Walker,
<br />Assistant to the City Manager, and Mr. Dutchover, Engineering Technician, were
<br />present.

<br /> AGENDAAMENDMENTS
<br /> Mr. Edgar requested that item 6b - Application of the Planning Commission
<br /> to fezone approximately 120 acres of land located west of Foothill Road near
<br /> its intersection with Bernal Avenue from the R-1-40,O00 to the HPD (Hillside
<br /> Planned Development) District, be continued to the meeting of January 3, 1977,
<br /> for full Council attendance.
<br />
<br /> ~. Edgar requested that item 6d - Application of the Planning Commission
<br />to rezone those properties located north of Vineyard Avenue, south of the Arroyo
<br />del Valle from First Street east to the City Limit Line (except for the Baptist
<br />Church property on First Street) from the RM-1500 District and P~I-2500 District
<br />to the RM-4000 District, and two parcels located on the south side of Vineyard
<br />Avenue between Adams Way and Mavis Drive from the RM-2500 District to the
<br />R-1-6500 District, be continued to the meeting of January 3, 1977, for full
<br />Council attendance.

<br /> Councilmember Mercer requested that an item be added as item 5a - Appoint-
<br />ment to Alameda County Mosquito Abatement Board.
<br />
<br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that the Minutes of November 29, 1976, re-
<br />flect that he was opposed to the hiring of an Assistant Chief in the Fire
<br />Division, and that the money should be used for additional manpower.
<br />
<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes,
<br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved, as amended:
<br />
<br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for November 22, 1976, and November 29,
<br /> 1976, as amended.
<br />
<br />b. Acceptance of Report regarding action taken by the Planning Commission on
<br /> items at their meeting of December 8, 1976.
<br />
<br />c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 801, rezoning from the A (Agricultural) District
<br /> to the C-C (Central Commercial) District an approximate 0.65 acre parcel of
<br /> la.nd located at 3534 Santa Rita Road, on the east side of Santa Rita Road
<br /> approximately 225 feet north of the intersection of Santa Rita Road and
<br /> Tassajara Road, and amending the Zoning Map accordingly.
<br />
<br />d. Acceptance of 1975-76 City of Pleasanton Audit.
<br />
<br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 76-284, approving Claims for the month of Novem-
<br /> ber, 1976, in the amount of $183,413.44.
