Application of the Planning Commission to prezone approximateiX 16.4 ac~es of <br />unincorporated County land located on the'east side of Santa Rita Road between <br />Highway 580 apd a. point approximately 700 feet north of the intersection of <br />Santa Rita Road and Tassajara Road to the C-S (Commercial Service) District <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated December 1, 1976, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> }~yor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br />that Ordinance No. 800, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, prezoning twelve (12) parcels of land consisting of approximately 16.4 <br />acres located on the east side of Santa Rita Road between Interstate 580 and a <br />point approximately 700 feet north of the intersection of Santa Rita Road and, <br />Tassajara Road from the Alameda County Zoning Districts of A (Agricultural) and <br />M-1 (Light Industrial) to the City of Pleasanton's C-S (Commercial Service) Dis- <br />trict, and amending the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly, be <br />introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: Councilmember LeClaire <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire stated she felt the granting of this prezoning appli- <br />cation would create another situation similar to Vervais Avenue. <br /> <br />Application of the Planning Commission to fezone from the A (Agricultural) Dis- <br />trict to the C-C (Central Commercial) District an approximately 0.65 acre parcel <br />of land located at 3534 Santa Rita Road~ on the east side of Santa Rita Road <br />approxima.tely 225 feet north of the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Tassa- <br />jaraRoad <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated December 1, 1976, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Ordinance No. 801, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, rezoning approximately 0.65 acre parcel of land located at 3534 Santa <br />Rita Road on the east side of Santa Rita Road about 225 feet north of the Inter- <br />section of Santa Rita and Tassajara Roads from the A (Agricultural) District to <br />the C-C (Central Commercial) District and amending the Zoning Map of the City <br />of Pleasanton accordingly, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of the Plannin8 Commission for an amendment to Section 2-7.21~ <br />Article. 9~ Chapter 2~ Title I~ of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton <br />which would allow "churches and other relig.ious institutions" and "public and <br />private schools" as conditional uses in the I-G (General Industrial) District <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated December 1, 1976, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ron Bennett, 3149 Chardonnay, spoke in favor of this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Philcox declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> 3. 12/6/76 <br /> <br /> <br />
