39 Appr,o~al of Agreement between City and County of Alameda for Housing and Community Development Act'Activities~ Fiscal Year 1977-78 Mr. Levine presented his report dated October 6, 1976. regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilmember Herl~.hy, and seconded by 'Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 76-230, authorizing the execution of-the Cooperation Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and County of Alameda for Fiscal Year 1977-78, for disbursement of funds to be ~eceived under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer. and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: None ~ COMMUNICATIONS There were no Communications presented at this meeting. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the Council. ~ MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS Councilmember LeClaire asked if the City was investigating the possibility of receiving grant funds under the Urban Open Space and Recreation Act, and the Public Works Employment Act. She was advised the City is pursuing this matter. Councilmember Mercer brought up the matter of Morrison Homes' Creeks Bend area, stating that it was his intention when this matter was denied on August 9, 1976, that it be without prejudice, even though this was not specifically stated in his motion. After considerable discussion, Council concurred to delay further discussion of this matter until the City Attorney is present. Mayor Philcox stated he would be unable to attend the Annual League of California Cities Conference in San Diego on October 17-20, 1976, therefore, Council should appoint another voting delegate and alternate. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Mayor Philcox, that Vice }~yor LeClaire be designated voting delegate for the City of Pleasanton at the Annual League of California Cities Concerence in San Diego on October 17-20. 1976, and that Councilmember William J. Herlihy be designated as alternate. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and I,~yor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: None. CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR Mr. Edgar presented the Calendar for the Council's information. ADJOURn,lENT There being no further business at 11:45 P.M., it was moved by Council- member Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in Regular Session at 8:00 P.M., on October 26, 1976.
