No. 1658. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Bill Sweeney, representing residents of Valley Trails, addressed the <br />Council regarding problems of vandalism to signs and maintenance of land- <br />scaping at tract entrance, and juvenile loitering at the 7-Eleven Store area. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire stated that the Budget only allowed for minimum <br /> Da" <br />maintenance and suggested that a "Clean Up Pleasanton y be initiated by <br />citizens in an effort to rid the City of unsightly trash and weeds. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Mayor Philcox referred the matter of vandalism and <br />loitering to the Police Department, and the ~aintenance problem to the <br />Department of Field Services, for review and recommendation. <br /> <br /> Mr. Dick Bota addressed the Council regarding possible private grant <br />funding available to Pleasanton for various projects. Councilmember Mercer <br />suggestedthis matter be referred to the Bicentennial Commission for review <br />and recommendation. Council concurred. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />.Application of the Planning Commission for an amendment to Section 2-5.39(a) <br />and (c) of Article 3~ Chapter 2~ ~itle II of the Ordinance Code of the City <br />of Pleasanton which would allow the distance between structures in residen- <br />tial district to be less than now required <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated September 20, 1976, regardingthis <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember <br />LeClaire, that Ordinance No. 795, to be read by title only and waiving <br />further reading thereof, amending Section 2-5.39 of Article 3 (Site, Yard, <br />Bulk, Usable Open Space and Screening and Landscaping Regulations), Chapter <br />2 (Zoning), Title II (Zoning and Development) of the Ordinance Code of the <br />City of Pleasanton relating to yards and courts, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />A~ES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of the ~lannin~ Commission for an amendment to Section 2-9.17(~) <br />of Article 16~ Chapter 2~.
