MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> May 9, 1977 <br /> <br />EXECUTF~E SESSION RE: LABOR RELATIONS <br /> Council met at 7:00 P.M., in Executive Session to discuss labor negotiations <br />with their Labor Relations representatives Keith Fleming of Industrial Employers <br />and Distributors Association, and Larry Miller.' Also in attendance was Acting <br />City Manager Alan Campbell, and City Attorney, Kenneth Scheidig. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. <br />.Mr. Campbell, Acting City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Walker, <br />Assistant to the City Manager, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, and Mr. Sooby, <br />Director of Engineering Services, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA ~MENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Campbell requested that item 6a - Request by Jack Kolln for removal of <br />one Coast Redwood Heritage Tree located in the rear yard at 119 Neal Street, be <br />continued to the meeting of May 23, 1977, at the request of the applicant. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell requested that item 7a - Request from Pleasanton Garbage Service <br />for a Garbage Rate Increase, be continued to the meeting of May 23, 1977. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire requested that item 6c - Appeal of the City Council <br />to a decision of the Board of Adjustment in approving Application V-77-5 of <br />Darwin Datwyler for a Variance to Sections 2-5.35 and 2-5.36(b) of Article 3, <br />Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to allow <br />the subdivision of a parcel of land into seven lots, one of which would not <br />have the required street frontage and several others which would not meet the <br />code requirements for minimum lot depth and width, the property is located be- <br />tween the A~royo del Valle and the extension of the Del Valle Parkway, south- <br />east of the intersection of the Del Valle Parkway and Harvest Road, the pro- <br />perty is zoned RM-2000 (Multiple Residential) District, be continued to the <br />meeting of ~y 23, 1977. <br /> <br /> -Mayor Philcox requested that the Minutes of April 25, 1977, be corrected <br />on page 11, to reflect that he voted NO regarding authorization of an appeal of <br />Carl Nipper's proposed development. <br /> <br />CONSE~ CALEndAR <br /> it was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved as amended, <br />and the agenda as amended: <br /> <br /> <br />
