MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 19, 1977 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 8:00 P.M., at the Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> The roll call is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Le- <br />Claire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. Mr. Campbell, Acting City Manager, <br />Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, Mr. Caporusso, <br />Director of Human Resources, and Mr. Walker, Assistant to the City Manager, were <br />pra~ent. Also present were Parkand Recreation Commissioners Gielow and Wilfley. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION OF PRELIMINARY BIrDGET OF CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR 1977-78 <br /> Mr. Campbell made introductory remarks regarding the Preliminary Budget, <br />stating that expenditures are up only slightly less than the cost-of-living index, <br />that one new permanent position is proposed, that there is no transfer of gas tax <br />funds required as presently structured, there is no increase proposed in the tax <br />rate, and that there is a reserve but that reserve is shown before any wage adjust- <br />ment t~mt may be granted. <br /> <br /> 5-~. Walker presented an overview of the Preliminary Budget and explained the <br />Revenues. <br /> <br /> After a brief question and answer period, Council established the following <br />dates for Budget Sessions: May 2, 7:00 P.M.; May 4, 7:00 P.M.; May 5, 7:30 P.M.; <br />and ~t~ 7, 9:00 A.M. <br /> <br />FjlECUTIVE SESSION <br /> ~yor Philcox adjourned the meeting to an Executive Session at 8:55 P.M., to <br />discuss potential litigation regarding Nipper Development. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox reconvened the meeting at 9:10 P.M. <br /> <br />ADJOUR~IENT <br /> There being no further business, ~yor Philcox adjourned the Adjourned <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council at 9:15 P.M., to meet again in Regular <br />Session at 8:00 P.M., on April 25, 1977, at the Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br /> ~~G <br />ALAN B.
