Mayor Philcox reiterated his upport of the staff report. <br /> <br /> After some discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded <br /> by Councilmember Mercer, that the following recommendations be approved as set <br /> forth in the staff report, ~amely: (1) Consolidate pool use as recommended; <br /> (2) Turn off one heater and heat only the 25 meter pool; (3) Heat the pools <br /> only to 80 degrees; and (4) Use pool covers when pool is not in use. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br /> NOES: Councilmember LeClaire <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZATION TO APPROPRIATE PLEASANTON'S SHARE FOR LA~qMA <br /> EXPENDITURES <br /> Mr. Edgar indicated that in order to implement the action taken by the City <br /> Council and the LAVWMA Board at their meetings related to the most current pro- <br /> posals on the LAVWMA Project, it was necessary that theCity Council indicate <br /> that local funding for this work was assured. <br /> <br /> After some discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded <br /> by Councilmember LeClaire, that Resolution No. 77-32, appropriating local fund- <br /> ing for the LAVWMA Project, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br /> NOES: Councilmember Herlihy <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL ALLOCATION, RE: PROPOSITION 2 FUNDS <br /> Mayor Philcox stated that the formula for the application of park funds <br /> under Proposition 2 was going to be discussed at the Mayors' Conference. He <br /> felt that a straight Per Capita allocation without allocation to the East Bay <br /> Regional Park District was the most appropriate. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br /> Councilmember Herlihy, that the Mayor be authorized to support a Per Capita <br />'allocation to the Cities, minus allocation to the East Bay Regional Park <br /> District, at the next Mayors' Conference. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF PROPOSALS RE: EXECUTIVE SEARCH FIRM FOR THE POSITION OF CITY MANAGER <br /> After some discussion regarding these proposals, it was the consensus of <br /> the Council to interview representatives from Ralph Andersen and Associates, <br /> Korn/Ferry and Associates, and John Taylor, at their meeting of February 10, <br /> 1977. <br /> <br /> 2. 2/8/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
