95 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> October 27, 1977 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. <br />Councilmember Herlihy was absent Mr. Brown City Manager, Mr Scheidig, City <br />Attorney, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, and Mr. Swift, Planning Analyst, <br />were present. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Application of the City. of Pleasanton to adopt a ResidentialAllocation Program <br />consisting of a Community Developmen.t E~ement~ Negative Declaration pertaining <br />to the Element~ draft Resid.eptial Allocation Program Ordinance and the mandatory <br />and incentiva elements of the Allocation Program (Continued Open from 10-18-77) <br /> Fmyor Philcox stated this is the second public hearing meeting regarding the <br />Residential Allocation Program and the purpose of this meeting is to take public <br />testimony on this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the continued public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Marge Nohm, 3231 Vineyard Avenue, urged Council to retain the controlled <br />growth policy and keep the area as an urban community. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Sue Langhans, 7779 Chestnut Way, stated she was proud to be a resident <br />of Pleasanton and urged Council to maintain and protect the controlled growth of <br />the City. <br /> <br /> Mr. Chuck Seymour, 492 San Gabriel Court, stated he supported the Growth Manage- <br />ment Plan and the 2% growth rate. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Philcox continued Open the <br />public hearing on the application of the City of Pleasanton to adopt a Residential <br />Allocation Program consisting of a Community Development Element, Negative <br />Declaration pertaining to the Element, draft Residential Allocation Program <br />Ordinance and the mandatory and incentive elements of the Allocation Program, <br />to October 29, 1977, 10:00 A.M., at the Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />ADJOUR~fENT <br /> There being no further business at 7:45 P.M., ~ayor Philcox adjourned the <br />meeting to meet again in Adjourned Regular Session at 10:00 A.M., on October 29, <br />1977, at the Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />C~ BR6~N,'CITY CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
