It was moved by Mayor Philcox, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br />that the City Council take a position in opposition to SB 430. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />COM}~NICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of <br />the Council. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire reported on a meeting she attended of the Industrial <br />Committee of the Chamber of Commerce. She stated this Committee was confused <br />on some issues of the Residential Allocation Program of the Growth Management <br />Plan and had comments to make regarding this matter. Councilmember LeClaire <br />requested a workshop meeting be held between City Council, Planning Commission, <br />Growth Management Committee, and Industrial Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, <br />to discuss the Residential Allocation Program. The Industrial Committee felt <br />they had not been given sufficient input at the Planning Commission public <br />hearing. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes expressed opposition to a workshop meeting because <br />he felt all testimony should be taken in public hearings with Council making <br />the final decision on the Residential Allocation Program. <br /> <br /> After considerable discussion, Council determined to schedule a workshop <br />meeting consisting of the City Council, Planning Commission, Growth Management <br />Committee, and Industrial Committee of the Chamber of Commerce, on Wednesday, <br />October 5, 1977, 7:30 P.M. Pleasanton Council Chambers, to discuss the Resi- <br />dential Allocation Program. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox stated he had received correspondence from Supervisor Valerie <br />Raymond regarding the sewer agreement regarding the Fairgrounds, and that no <br />progress had been made on this matter at this time but the City is to work with <br />the County on this. A meeting with SupervisomRaymond and Cooper will be <br />scheduled after the County Counsel looks into the contract. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox reminded Councilmembers to make any comments regarding the <br />League of California Cities Resolutions before the Conference on September 25, <br />1977. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> There were no matters initiated by Councilmembers at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Brown presented the Council Calendar for the information of Councilmembers. <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Philcox recessed the meeting at 1:05 A.M., to an Executive Session <br /> to discuss the Pleasanton Safe Streets Association vs. City of Pleasanton suit. <br /> <br /> 11. 9/20/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
