455 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 13, 1977 <br /> <br />INTERVIEWS FOR HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox and members of the City Council met at 7:45 P.M., to <br />interview Mrs. Marie L. Caughron for consideration as a member of the Pleasanton <br />Housing Authority Board representing Komandorski Village. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. <br />Mr. Brown, City/~anager, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City <br />Attorney, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, and Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering <br />Services, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mayor Philcox stated that due to the importance of discussion on item lOa - <br />VCSD/Pleasanton Cofisolidation Negotiations, the following amendments would be made <br />to the agenda: <br /> <br /> Add to the Consent Calendar <br /> <br /> item 4i - Approval to hang Banner on Main Street Sign on September 22-25, <br /> 1977, advertising Pleasanton Daze, by Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br /> item 4J - Application for Removal of Heritage Tree, 1820 Paseo del Cajon <br /> Continue to September 20, 1977 <br /> <br /> item 6a - Review of negative declaration for a General Plan Amendment to <br /> change land use designation of land located between Hopyard Road <br /> and Valley Avenue from high density residential to medium density <br /> residential, and to make changes to text of General Plan <br /> (Continued Open from 8-23-77) <br /> <br /> item 6b - Application of Morrison Homes, Inc., for a General Plan Amendment <br /> to change the land use designation of an approx. 10 acre site <br /> located between Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue immediately south- <br /> east of the Alpha Beta Shopping Center from high density residen- <br /> tial to medium density residential, and to make certain changes <br /> to the text of the General Plan as it pertains to residential <br /> density (Continued Open from 8-23-77) <br /> <br /> item 7b - Further Discussion, Re: Historical Landmark Overlay District <br /> Advisory Committee <br /> <br /> <br />
