423 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> TIlE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> August 23, 1977 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. Council- <br />member Brandes was absent. ~. Brown, City Manager, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City <br />Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, and Mr. <br />Sooby, Director of Engineering Services, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Brown requested the following items be added to the agenda: <br /> <br />item 41 - Authorize the retention of David DeVoe as appraiser for properties to be acquired for the Pleasanton Interceptor Project <br /> <br />item 4m - Approve contract for deferral of improvements for Mr. Canessa for Minor Subdivision MS-77-9 <br /> <br />item 4n - Approval to hang Banner on Pleasanton Main Street Sign for Amador High School Booster Club Spaghetti Feed. <br /> <br />item lOe- Consideration of LAVWMA Recommendation on Joint Reclamation Study with Zone 7 <br /> <br />item llb- Consideration of Legislation <br /> <br />item 13a- Report from the Sewer Committe, Re: Status of VCSD Sewer Negotiations <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox requested that items 6a and b - Review of negative declaration <br />for a General Plan Amendment to change land use designation of land located be- <br />tween Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue from high density residential to medium <br />density residential, and to make changes to text of General Plan; and application <br />of Morrison Homes, Inc., for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use <br />designation of an approximately i0 acre site located between Hopyard Road and <br />Valley Avenue immediately southeast of the Alpha Beta Shopping Center from high <br />density residential to medium density residential, and to make certain changes <br />to the text of the General Plan as it pertains to residential density, be con- <br />tinued to September 13, 1977, for full Council attendance. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar together with amendments <br />thereto, be approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
