The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmen Butler and Kephart <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that <br />Ordinance No. 857, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />to remove the fee schedule for the Residential Construction Tax from the Resi- <br />dential Construction Tax Ordinance and to place the fee schedule in the resolu- <br />tion establishin~ fees and charges for various municipal services as per the <br />staff report, including amending Section 1-6.62 of Article 6, Chapter 3, Title <br />I of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSEnt: Councilmen Butler and Kephart <br /> <br /> It was moved bv Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 78-162, to add the Residential Construction Tax Schedule as <br />increased to the resolution establishing fees and charges for various municipal <br />services of the City of Pleasanton, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: CouncilBen Butler and Kephart <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />that Resolution No. 78-163, determining, on the basis of a review of initial <br />environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental <br />impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a Negative <br />Declaration is appropriate for the Residential Construction Tax for the City <br />of Pl~santon, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSLNT: Councilmen Butler and Kephart <br /> <br />1978-79 BUDGET ISSUES <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated June 15, 1978, regarding this matter. <br />He stated he hoped to have the final budget for Council consideration on July <br />11, 1978, if property tax figures are available by that time. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell presented an oral report regarding the reduction. of street <br />lights. He displayed a map showing where there would be street lights, which <br />would be at intersections, around parks, schoo~.,some churches, and in the <br />dox~townarea. He stated most of the street lights in the residential areas <br />would be turned off. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer asked if private individuals or groups of neighbors could pay <br />for street lights themselves in their area to keep them turned on. Council <br />requested a report from staff and PG&E regarding the feasibility of this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell stated various alternative methods of turning out lights could <br />be implemented depending on the amount of money the Council desired to allocate <br />to this expenditure. <br /> <br /> 4. 6/20/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
