MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Mrs. Joy Robinson, 4127 Suffolk Way, representing the League of Women Voters, commended the CityManager for his 3-month City Council agenda planning report, stating it was of benefit to the public as well as Council and staff. Mr. Ed Alves, 1114 Santa Rita Road, offered his services to Council and staff in whatever capacity he might be able to serve the community in light of the passage of Proposition 13, and urged other citizens to volunteer their services also. PUBLIC HEARINGS Application of the provisions of the Vehicle Code to streets and roads on the .prope~.ty of the Alameda County Fair Grounds pursuant to Vehicle Code Sections 21107.5 and 21107.7 Application of certain of the provisions of the Vehicle Code to parkin~ lots on..the property of the Alameda County Fair Grounds pursuant to Vehicle Code Section 21107.8 Mr. Levine presented his report dated June 6, 1978, regarding these two items. Lt. Freeman presented a map showing streets and roads at the Fairgrounds and explained the need for enforcement of the Vehicle Code in this area. Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on these two items. No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to these items. It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 78-155, making applicable the provisions of the Vehicle Code to streets and roads on the property of the Alameda County Fair Grounds pursuant to Vehicle Code Sections 21107.5 and 21107.7, and of certain of the provisions of the Vehicle Code to parking lots on the property of the Alameda County Fair Grounds pursuant to Vehicle Code Section 21107.8, and adopting the findings in the staff report, be adopted.
