MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 13, 1978 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, andMayor Mercer were present. <br />Mr. Brown, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Harris, Director of <br />Plaru-Ling and Community Development, Mr. Walker, Assistant to the City Manager, <br />Mr ~i~er Assistant to the City Manager, and Mr. Freeman, Police Lieutenant, <br />were present. <br /> <br />AGEN~A IMEh~MENTS <br /> Mr. Broom requested that item 10b - Mission Park Zoning Study be continued <br />to the meeting of June 27, 1978, or July 11, 1978, at the request of the Mission <br />Park Homeowners Association. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown requested that an item be added as llb - Thomson vs. City of Albany, <br />et el. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that item 8a - Scope of Work for Housing <br />Authority Operation Review, be continued to the meeting of June 27, 1978. <br /> <br /> ~. Brown stated that item 6e - Appeal of Wendell Collins of a determination <br />that an Envirop~ental Impact Report is required for a hillside residential sub- <br />division proposed for the approximately 50 acre parcel of land located north and <br />west of the end of Longview Drive, should be continued to the meeting of July 11, <br />1978, at the request of the appellant. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown, stated that item 6g - Application of the City Council for an <br />amendment to Section 2-7.08(a), Article 8, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance <br />Code of the City of Pleasanton, which would revise, comprehensively, the sche- <br />dule of permitted and conditional uses in all of the commercially zoned districts <br />of the City of Pleasanton (Continued Open from 3-28-78 and 5-9-78), should be <br />removed from the agenda as recommended by staff to send it back to the Planning <br />Commission for further moditications. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for May 23, 1978, and May 30, 1978. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim June 14, 1978, as Flag Day. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-142, approving license from Western Pacific <br /> Railroad Company for Interceptor Sewer Crossing and authorizing the Mayor <br /> to sign the license. <br /> <br /> <br />
