MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL April 11, 1978 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Brown, City Manager and Mr. Levine, City Attorney, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Brown requested that an item be added as item 4i - approval of Request by Foothill High Boosters Club to hang a Banner on the Main Street Sign, April 13-23, 1978. Mr. Brown requested that an item be added as item lOc Board of Supervisors Request to Assist with Castlewood Sewer Problems. Mr. Brown stated that a letter had been received from the attorney representing the applicant of rezoning land between Crellin Road and City Limit Line (items 6a and b) requesting this matter be continued at least two weeks or until May 9. Mayor Mercer requested that Consideration of Appointment to City Council be considered as item 7a. Mr. Brown stated there would be an Executive Session regarding litigation. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar together with amendments be approved. a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 3-28-78. b. Proclaim April 16-22, 1978, as Volunteer Recognition Week in Pleasanton. c. Proclaim Week of April 24-28, 1978, as California's Forgotten Victims Week. d. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-70, approving acceptance of easement from Department of the Army for Stoneridge Drive Overcrossing Project. e. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-71, approving method of distribution of Safer Off-System funds. f. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-72, approval of Program Supplement No. 7 to Local Agency-State Agreement No. 04-5101 for Federal Aid Improvements. g. Approve by motion Request by Pleasanton Art League to hang banner on Main Street sign, April 24-30, 1978.
