CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-131 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A CLAIM WITH THE <br /> METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALLOCATION OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR <br /> 1988-89 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA), as amended <br /> (Public Utilities Code Sections 99200 et seq.), provides <br /> for the disbursement of funds from the local <br /> Transportation Fund of the County of Alameda for use by <br /> eligible claimants for the purpose of community transit <br /> services for Pleasanton residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of the TDA, as amended and <br /> pursuant to the applicable rules and regulations <br /> thereunder (21 Cal. Admin. Code Sections 6600 et seq.) a <br /> prospective claimant wishing to receive an allocation <br /> from the local Transportation Fund shall file its claim <br /> with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the claim proposes to continue an existing program <br /> utilizing existing equipment, manpower, and routes and <br /> proposes minor addition of services and is therefore <br /> considered exempt from the requirement of the California <br /> Environmental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, TDA funds for the local Transportation Fund of Alameda <br /> County will be required by claimant in Fiscal Year <br /> 1988-89 for community transit services; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: That Dolores Bengtson, Director of Parks and <br /> Community services is authorized to execute and file an <br /> appropriate claim pursuant to the terms of the <br /> Transportation Development Act, as amended, and pursuant <br /> to applicable rules and regulations promulgated <br /> thereunder, together with all necessary supporting <br /> documents, with the Metropolitan Transportation <br /> Commission for an allocation of TDA funds in Fiscal Year <br /> 1988-89. <br /> <br />Section 2: That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the <br /> Metropolitan Transportation Commission in conjunction <br /> with the filing of the claim; and the Metropolitan <br /> Transportation Commission be requested to grant the <br /> allocations of funds as specified herein. <br /> <br /> <br />
