It was moved by Councilman Kephart, and seconded by Councilman Mercer, that <br />staff be directed to prepare a contract with a survey research firm, have the firm <br />create a draft of the survey and return to the-Council for review and approval of <br />both. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Kephart, Mercer and Wool <br />NOES: Mayor Brandes <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of Council <br /> Clay Brown presented the Information Report of the Assistant to the City Manager- <br />Miller, dated June 6, 1979, regarding Holding Tank Franchise Extension of Tri-Valley <br />Pumping Service to June 1, 1984. <br /> <br /> Clay Brown presented the City Council Agenda Planning Report for June, July, <br />and August. <br /> <br /> Clay Brown advised that AB 1519 will be heard by the Committee on I~ys and <br />Means within the next few days, and he recommended the City Council strongly <br />approve the bill, which has the potential of negating the local planning process <br />by establishing a State wide Project Appeals Board to usurp local authority and <br />control. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Kephart, and seconded by Councilman Mercer, instructing <br />staff to call and also ~Tite a letter to Assemblyman Floyd Mori expressing the <br />City Council's strong opposition to AB 1519. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ~TTORNEY <br />Denial of claim of Robert Still <br /> Harvey Levine presented his report dated June 6~ 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Mercer, and seconded by Councilman l~od, to deny <br />the claim of Robert Still. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Kephart, Mercer, Wood and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler <br /> <br />LEGISLATION <br /> Harvey Levine presented his report dated June 11, 1979, regarding AB-1693. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Wood, and seconded by Mayor Brandes, that Ehe <br />Council support AB-1693. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and ~yor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler <br /> <br /> 14. 6/12/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
