MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> November 25, 1980 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities, and Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development, <br />were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following amendments be made to the agenda: <br /> <br />Move item lOa - Report on Rear-Yard Setback Requirements in Residential Districts, <br /> to be heard before the Public Hearings. <br /> <br />Continue item 8g - Application of the City Council to amend Section 2-9.40 of Article <br /> 18, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of <br /> Pleasanton which would regulate political and other temporary <br /> Signs, to the meeting of December 23, 1980. <br /> <br />Continue item 9a - Adoption of Ordinance No. 946, amending Title IV by adding <br /> Chapter 9 (Noise Regulation) and amending Title I, Chapter 1, <br /> Section 1-1.15 making violations of each chapter an infraction, <br /> to the meeting of December 23, 1980. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested that item 9b - Adoption of Ordinance No. 950, adding <br />Section 4-5.25 (Canine Defecatton) to Article 3, Chapter 3, Title IV, and amending <br />Section 1-1.11 of Chapter 1, Title I to make violations of certain sections of the <br />Ordinance Code infractions; be referred to the Park and Recreation Commission for <br />their review and recommendation. Mayor Mercer advised he had also discussed this <br />matter with the Police Chief, who had suggested some verbage changes to the ordi- <br />nance, which will be reviewed by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 11-17-80. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-294, acceptance of Youth Sports Park Phase III <br /> Improvements, approving final payment to Watkin and Bortolussi, Inc., 'in the <br /> amount of $25,443.05, and authorizing that Notice of Completion be filed. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-295, approving Quitclaim of Surface Entry Rights <br /> by the City of Pleasanton and acceptance of .Quitclaim Deed from First Ridgewood <br /> Company for the Subterranean Waters, without rights of surface entry for the <br /> following parcels of land: 99B-3961-24, 99B-3961-25-2, 99B-3961-26-2, and <br /> 2 <br /> 99B-3961- 7-2. <br /> <br /> <br />
