MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE ~ETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 23, 1980 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning <br />and Community Development, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public Works and Utilities, <br />and Mr. Dantche, Law Clerk, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENUMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following items be added to the agenda: <br /> <br />Item 4g - Proclaim October 6-12, 1980, as Crime Prevention/Fire Prevention Week. <br /> <br />Item 12h- Expansion of the DSRSD Plant for Industrial Non-retail Commercial Sewage <br /> Capacity. <br /> <br />Item 12i- Allocation of Industrial and Non-retail Commercial Sewage Capacity. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there ~muld be an Executive Session at the conclusion of <br /> this meeting to discuss labor relations. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-238, approving Claims for the month of August, <br /> 1980, in the amount of $727,675.21. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-239, accepting improvements for the installation <br /> of the Thermoplastic Project, approving final payment to Riley's Striping Ser- <br /> vice, Inc., in the amount of $28,810.86, and authorizing the City Attorney to <br /> file Notice of Completion. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Kesolution No. 80-240, authorizing that the northbound bus stop <br /> on First Street be relocated to the northeast corner of First Street and <br /> Kottinger, that the eastbound bus on Neal Street be relocated closer to the <br /> Railroad crossing, and that staff be directed to paint the directional arrows <br /> at the intersection. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-241, establishing a Bus Stop on Valley Avenue at <br /> Greenwood Road, and directing Field Services to pave an asphalt concrete path <br /> from the sidewalk at the intersection to the bus stop. <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-242, setting a public hearing on October 14, 1980, <br /> 8:00 P.M., at the Fairgrounds Cafeteria, to consider traffic enforcement at th~ <br /> Stoneridge Shopping Center, and directing staff to give notice to all property <br /> owners of facilities on which such provisions of State law are desired. <br /> <br /> <br />
