After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council- <br />member Butler, that Ordinance No. 942, to amend Section 2-7.08(a), Article 8, Chapter <br />2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to conditionally allow <br />hardware stores in the CN (Neighborhood Commercial) District, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Kephart <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Review of the draft revised Housin~ Element of the General Plan of the City. The public hearing be continued open indefinitely until the staff can review <br /> the letter as it relates to the Draft Housing Element; <br /> <br />2. The Planning staff meet with the representativ~ of the Department of Housing <br /> and Community Development to discuss HCD's concerns with the Draft Housing <br /> Element; <br /> <br />3. The staff prepare a report which discusses the concerns of HCD related to the <br /> Draft Housing Element as currently written; <br /> <br />4. The report to be completed and returned to Council for consideration at the <br /> October 14, 1980, Council meeting. <br /> <br />~TTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 939~. amendin8 RAP Exemptions for Lower-Income P~0jects <br />(!ntroo 8-12-80~ 4.TAyes, 1-No) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 939 was introduced on August 12, 1980, <br />by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-No, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> Mr. Michael Parsons, Executive Director of'the Pleasanton Housing Authority, <br />asked for an explanation of the term "approved funding for project prior to appli- <br />cation". Mr. Harris advised that the City wants proof that a builder can get <br />subsidizing. tte added that this had been expanded to include lower income hous- <br />ing.
