That letters be sent to the judges handling speeding violations asking them <br /> to assist the City by applying more severe penalties to those cited for speed- <br /> ing on Foothill Road, and to write a letter to the Board of Supervisors asking <br /> their assistance in the improvement of Foothill Road; <br /> <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report on Use of Westwind Building <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Recreation and Human Re- <br />sources dated August 20, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- <br />member Kephart, that Resolution No. 80-222, approving the request of two Amador High <br />School students to have the Westwind Building moved to Amador campus and used as a <br />student union building but retaining the present uses by the City in the building, <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Wood <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer instructed staff to contact School Administration to see if they <br />still want the building then proceed accordingly. <br /> <br />Setting of 1980-81 Tax Rate for General Obligation Bond Debt Service <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Finance dated August 19, <br />1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br />Resolution No. 80-223, fixing the tax rate for Debt Service on voter approved <br />general obligation bonds during fiscal year 1980-81 as follows: <br /> <br /> District No. 1 <br /> Debt Service $.052 per $100 of Assessed Valuation <br /> <br /> District No. 2 <br /> Debt Service' $.052 per $100 of Assessed Valuation <br /> <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Bus Service to Regional Shopping Center <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Assistant to the City Manager dated <br />August 18, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Mayor Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Butler, instructing the City Manager to contact BART to request that the route of <br />BART's basic bus service be modified to service the Regional Shopping Center, and <br />inform BART that the City is not interested in providing a City bus service. <br /> <br /> 10. 8/26/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
