i ?, 3 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> TttE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> August 26, 1980 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning <br />and Community Development, and Mr. Schaumburg, Director of Engineering Services, <br />were present. <br /> <br />AGE~DA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker advised that a letter had been received from the State regarding the <br />City's draft Housing Element and he requested that item 8d - Review of the draft <br />revised Housing Element of the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton and accompany- <br />ing Negative Declaration, be continued indefinitely and until the concerns of the <br />State can be resolved. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker stated that under Items for the Information of the Council there is <br />a report regarding the Process for Selecting the Cityts Insurance Carriers and <br />Policies which can be discussed further if Council so desires. Councilmember Kep- <br />hart stated he had some questions regarding this matter but would meet with the Cityts <br />insurance broker for discussion of the item. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood requested that item 4f - Acceptance of Improvements for Tract <br />4119, Vintage Hills, be removed from the Consent Calendar and placed as item 12g on <br />the agenda for discussion. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 8-7-80 and 8-12-80. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-212, approving Claims for the month of June, 1980, <br /> in the amount of $795,171.86, and approving Claims for the month of July, 1980, <br /> in the amount of $1,933,193.10. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-213, approving Agreement between the City of <br /> Pleasanton and Security Pacific National Bank, to implement Pleasanton's <br /> Housing Rehaoilitation Program, and authorizing the appropriate City officials <br /> to execute the Agreement. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-214, approving Agreement with Auf der Maur/ <br /> Rickenbach for Completion of Improvement Work on Del Valle Parkway from Calif- <br /> ornia Avenue to the East Boundry Line of Lot 1 of Tract 4401, Stanley Commer- <br /> cial Park Unit 3, and authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute the <br /> Agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />
