Foothill Road at Laguna Vista Subdivision Parking Enforcement

<br /> Mr. Chris Kelly urged approval of this restriction because large vans park and
<br /> block the view in this area and also create noise, TV interference, and dust, as
<br /> well as litter.
<br />
<br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council-
<br /> member Mohr, that Resolution No. 80-192, amending Resolution'No. 76-79 (establishing
<br /> traffic regulations for City Streets) by adding Subsection 6f-3 relating to No Park-
<br /> ing zones on Foothill Road, be adopted.

<br /> Mr. Walker presented his report dated July 16,.1980, regarding this matter, which
<br /> designates Pleasanton as the lead agency to accomplish work with the consulting
<br /> engineers for the preparation of all environmental documents.

<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that
<br />Resolution No. 80-193, approving the Cooperative Agreement between the City of
<br />Livermore, Dublin San Ramon Services District, and City of Pleasanton, and authoriz-
<br />ing the appropriate City officials to execute the contract, be adopted.

<br />Matters for the Information of the Council
<br /> Mr. Walker presented the attendance records of the Planning Commission, Park
<br />and Recreation Commission, and Human Services Commission, for the period January 1,
<br />1980, through June 30, 1980, for the information of the Council.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Walker presented a memorandum from the Director of Recreation and Human Re-
<br />sources regarding a donation from the Pleasanton Junior Women's Club in the amount
<br />of $1,000.00 to the City's handicapped swimming program. Council requested that a
<br />letter of appreciation be sent to the Junior Women's club for this generous donation.

<br />Mission Hill Park - Recommendation to Council concerning Mission Hill Park Project
<br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Recreation and Human Resources
<br />dated July 15, 1980, regarding this matter.
<br />
<br /> Mrs. Judy MaVhew, 5584 San Jose Drive, President of the Mission Park Homeowners
<br />Association, stated this group favored Alternate 1 of the report. She advised that
<br />the homeo~mers association would be willing to add trees and a minimum amount of
<br />shubbery, work on on-going improvements, and add a minimal amount of playground
<br />equipment.

<br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Council-
<br />member Wood, that Resolution No. 80-194, after review of bids, award contract to Valley
<br />Crest Company for the completion of Mission Hills Park Phase I, in the amount of
<br />$74,200.00,.that the 1980-81 Capital Improvement Program Neighborhood Park fund budget
<br />be amended by reducing the Projected Fund Balance and increasing the appropriation to
<br />Mission Hills Park by $18,200.00 for a total appropriation of $78,200.00, which in-
<br />ciudes $4,000.00 lanescape architect's fee, be adopted.
