Emerg.ency Ambulance Service - Contract with Alameda County <br /> ~,~ayor Mercer declared this item removed from the agenda at the request of staff. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTOP~NEY <br /> Safeyay Storest I~c,.~ v. County of Alameda, ~ al, No. 523248-2 <br /> Mr. Levine presented his report dated May 29, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 80-160, authorizing the City Attorney to formally request the County <br />to provide defense in the law suit of Safeway Stores, Inc., v. County of Alameda, <br />et al, No. 523248-2, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CO~UNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Walker presented the Calendar for the information of the Council. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Mayor Mercer requested Councilmember Wood to attend the East <br />Bay Regional Park District public hearing regarding the water slide Environmental <br />Impact Report on June 11, 1980, at the Fairgrounds Cafeteria. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 10:00 P.M., to an Executive Session to <br />discuss litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer. reconvened the meeting at 10:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />authorizing the City's representatives to LAVWMA to vote in favor of the settle- <br />ment of the Dublin San Ramon Services District v. LAVWMA law suit prepared by the <br />General Counsel of LA~qMA. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:35 P.M., it was moved by Councilmember <br />Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that the meeting be adjourned to meet <br />again in Regular Session on June 24, 1980, 8:00 P.M., at the Cultural Arts Building. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> IES R.
