There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed on this item. Councilmember Kephart stated the City has more park land now than it can develop or adequately maintain, therefore, he felt it would be a mistake to add any more City park land. Councilmember Mohr stated that land is valuable and she felt this park land dedication should be accepted with development to take place when funds are avail- able, or allow the residents to improve and maintain the park. Councilmember Butler stated that no city can have a park in every neighborhood. He added that the Park and Recreation Commission had disapproved a park in this area. It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 81-33, to retain the dedication of lots 12 and 13 of Tract 4372 for park purposes rather than accept in lieu park fees, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Mohr and Wood NOES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer ABSENT: None The City Attorney advised that the Tentative Map for Tract 4372 has not been ftnalized, therefore Council could make changes if they so desired. It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that no further action be taken on Tract 4372, since all concerns had been addressed previou sly.
