CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 88-122 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A <br /> GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO LIMIT GROWTH MANAGEMENT <br /> APPROVALS TO 1,000 HOUSING UNITS PER YEAR AND TO EXEMPT <br /> HOUSING PROJECTS OF FIVE UNITS OR LESS FROM THE 1,000 <br /> UNIT LIMIT (GP-SS-1) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 15, 1988, the City Council <br /> received a proposed negative declaration for an <br /> amendment to the Housing Element of the General Plan to <br /> limit the total number of housing units which can be <br /> given Growth Management approval to a maximum of 1,000 <br /> per year and to exempt housing projects of five units or <br /> less from the 1,000 unit limit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial <br /> Study dated February 18, 1988 and received the <br /> recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the <br /> public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br /> environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan <br /> Amendment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in <br /> accordance with the applicable state and local <br /> guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br /> Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan <br /> Amendment would not have any significant adverse effects <br /> on the environment: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for an amendment to <br /> the Housing Element of the General Plan to limit the <br /> total number of housing units which can be given Growth <br /> Management approval to a maximum of 1,000 per year and <br /> to exempt housing projects of five units or less from <br /> the 1,000 unit limit. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
