CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 88-122 RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO LIMIT GROWTH MANAGEMENT APPROVALS TO 1,000 HOUSING UNITS PER YEAR AND TO EXEMPT HOUSING PROJECTS OF FIVE UNITS OR LESS FROM THE 1,000 UNIT LIMIT (GP-SS-1) WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 15, 1988, the City Council received a proposed negative declaration for an amendment to the Housing Element of the General Plan to limit the total number of housing units which can be given Growth Management approval to a maximum of 1,000 per year and to exempt housing projects of five units or less from the 1,000 unit limit; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated February 18, 1988 and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan Amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan Amendment would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment: NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the Negative Declaration for an amendment to the Housing Element of the General Plan to limit the total number of housing units which can be given Growth Management approval to a maximum of 1,000 per year and to exempt housing projects of five units or less from the 1,000 unit limit. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
