Park, Phase III, Field Improvements, Project No. 81-4, to accept the offer of the <br /> Little Leagues to pay $17,000.00 and direct the staff to request the Leagues to <br /> make this payment prior to start of construction of the project; to appropriate <br /> $34,000.00 additional funds for the project (utilizing the $17,000.00 to come from <br /> the Little Leagues and $17,000.00 from the Amador Park Picnic Facility Project); <br /> and to award the contract to Alameda Fence, Inc., for the base bid plus Alternates <br /> 1, 2 and 4 for a total amount of $83,116.00 (this project is included in the adopted <br /> 1979-80 Park Projects Program , account number 59-4485-557-90), and authorizing the <br /> appropriate City officials to execute the agreement, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that <br /> Resolution No. 81-19, after review of bids for the Restroom/Concession Building for <br /> the Youth Sports Park, Project No. 81-5, award the contract to Marvin Bushy Company, <br /> Inc., 1455 South California Boulevard, Walnut Creek, in the amount of $70,380.00, <br /> omitting the installation of a shake roof (this project is included in the adopted <br /> 1979-80 Park Projects, Capital Improvement Program, account number 59-4485-558-90), <br /> and authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute the contract, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Park in Tract 4372 <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Planning and Community Develop- <br />ment (SR 81:17) dated January 21, 1981, regarding this matter. He explained that the <br />Tentative Map becomes final tomorrow and Council must decide now whether or not to <br />accept the two lots dedicated for park purposes or to accept in lieu park fees in- <br />stead which will require further review of the Tract Map. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ted Fairfield, representing the owner of the subject property, stated the <br />residents in the area wanted the park land dedication. He stated he had no objec- <br />tions for further review of this matter as long as the park issue is the only matter <br />discussed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Wood, that Council review the decision of the Planning Commission approving the appli- <br />cation of Ernest Pestarm for tentative map approval for Tract 4372 for a 49-1ot single- <br />family residential subdivision on a 35 acre site located between the Rosepointe sub- <br />division and Happy Valley Road, immediately westerly of Amber Lane, the property is <br />zoned R-I-20,000 (Single-Family Residential) District. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested that all residents in the area be notified of this review. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Walker presented his memorandum dated January 27, 1981, regarding litter on <br />City streets, explaining that warning signs will be placed on Valley Avenue notifying <br />people that violators will be cited for uncovered loads of trash and that Police en- <br />forcement will be increased in this area. <br /> <br /> 9. 1/27/81 <br /> <br /> <br />
