<br /> Density Residential (Planned Unit Development) District

<br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1001 was introduced on October 13, 1981,
<br /> by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Abstained, and that it was now in order to adopt the.ordinance.

<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that
<br /> Ordinance No. 1001, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton to fezone
<br /> Annexation No. 88, an approximately 20 acre site located on the north side of Vine-
<br /> yard Avenue ~mmediately east of the Hacienda Mobile Home Park to PUD-Medium Density
<br /> Residential (Planned Unit Development) District, be adopted.

<br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1002 was introduced on October 13, 1981,
<br />by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-No, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance.

<br /> Ms. Margaret Tracy, representing Preserve Area Ridgelands Committee, expressed
<br />opposition to this item, stating that a full Environmental Impact Report should be
<br />required because of adverse aesthetic impact, alteration of 6-mile oak wood lane,
<br />instability of soils, inadequate road access, roads cannot handle emergency vehicles,
<br />adverse energy consumption, liability to City, scarring of Pleasanton Ridge, and
<br />impact on present life style. She stated it should remain permanent Open Space.
<br />Mayor Mercer advised it is being zoned PUD-Open Space.

<br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Council-
<br />member Kephart, that Ordinance No. 1002, approving the application of the City of
<br />Pleasanton to prezone Annexation No. 89, an approximately 230 acre site located on
<br />the west side of Foothill Road, south of Santoe Ranch Road, to PUD-Open Space (Public
<br />Health and Safety) District, be adopted.

<br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer
