Matters for the Information of the Council
Vice Mayor Mohr presented the information report of the Director of Planning
and Community Development (IR 82:17) dated June 15, 1982, regarding the Alameda
County Fair five year Capital Improvement Program.

Councilmember Mercer was concerned that the report indicated relocation of the
carnival midway and Kiddie Land area, but did not say where they would be relocated.

Councilmember Brandes, as Liaison to the Fair Board, indicated he would find
out the new location and report back at the next Council meeting.

Affordable Housing Agreement with Homestead Development Company
Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 82:235) dated June 22, 1982, regarding this
matter. He stated this item was added to the agenda at the last minute due to the
"fast tracking" of the project pursuant to the terms of the Affordable Housing Com-
petition.

It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer,
that Resolution No. 82-221, approving the Affordable Housing Agreement with Home-
stead Development Company, and authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute
the Agreement, be adopted.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mohr
NOES: None
ABSENT: Mayor Butler

Approval of'Final Map and Improvement Plans for Tract 5062t Amador Meadowst Home-
stead Development Company and CPK Associates
Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 82:231) dated June 15, 1982, regarding this
matter.

It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that
Resolution No. 82-222, approving the final map and improvement plans for Tract 5062,
Amador Meadows, Homestead Development Company and CPK Associates, be adopted.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mohr
NOES: None
ABSENT: Mayor Butler

Approval of Improvement Plans and Subdivision Agreement for Parcel Map 3769 -
Meyer Center
Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 82:230) dated June 17, 1982, regarding this
matter.

Councilmember Brandes expressed concern that the restrictions imposed on the
Prudential and Reynolds and Brown projects had not been placed on the Meyer project,
and suggested Council make a motion to put staff on notice that it wanted to review
all matters relating to the Meyer project. Acting City Attorney Swift suggested the
proper course would be to make a motion initiating an amendment to the PUD ordinance
approving the Meyer project requiring individual approval of each stage of develop-
ment. This amendment would then go through the Planning Commission and back to
Council.

It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, to
initiate an amendment to the Ordinance No. 973 adding a condition requiring indivi-
dual approval of each stage of development.

10. 6/22/82
