477 <br /> <br /> Mr. Jerry Morrow, 6890 Via Quito, encouraged adoption of this ordinance to ban <br /> the sale of drug paraphernalia in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mr. Oliver Anjo, 2403 Raven Road, stated he felt the sale of drug paraphernalia <br /> should be banned in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br /> closed on this item. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Council- <br /> member Wood, that Resolution No. 82-123, urging the passage of SB 341 to ban the sale <br /> of drug paraphernalia, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, to <br /> initiate an ordinance which would ban the sale of drug paraphernalia in the City of <br /> Pleasanton; initiate an amendment to the existing ordinance requiring a special <br /> permit to operate a business which sells drug paraphernalia with revocation provi- <br /> sions allowed by State law; and initiate a modification to the business license code <br /> provisions to allow revocation or non renewal of business licenses of offenders of <br /> Health and Safety Code Section 11364.5. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br />-- Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 10:35 P.M. <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 10:40 P.M. <br /> <br /> Adoption of Ordinance No. 1031~ approving the application of Ernest and Charlotte <br /> Jones to rezone approximately 4.5 acres of land located at the northwest corner of <br /> Rose Avenue and Rose Lane from the '~" (Agricultural) District to the PUD (Planned <br /> Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential District <br /> (Intro. 3-23-82~ 4-Ayes~ 1-Absent) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1031 was introduced on March 23, 1982, <br /> by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> Ordinance No. 1031, approving the application of Ernest and Charlotte Jones to re- <br /> zone approximately 4.5 acres of land located at the northwest corner of Rose Avenue <br /> and Rose Lane from the '~" (Agricultural) District to the PUD (Planned Unit Develop- <br /> ment)-Medium Density Residential District, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Adoption of Ordinance No. 1032~ approving the application of the City of Pleasanton <br /> to rezone two parcels totallin~ approximately one acre at 1550 and 1588 Rose Avenue <br /> (Lane) from the "A" (Agricultural) District to the R-1-2.0~000 (Single-family Resi- <br /> dential) District <br /> (Intro. 3-23-8.~...4-Ayes~ 1-Absent) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1032 was introduced on March 23, 1982, <br /> by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> 11. 4/6/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
