COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Letter from Best Products~ Re: Commercial Compactor Refuse Collection Rate <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Assistant to the City Manager (SR 82:115) <br /> dated March 17, 1982, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Dan McMullen, Manager of Best Products, stated he felt the compactor refuse <br /> collection rates were excessive and requested Council consider reducing the amount <br /> charged by Pleasanton Garbage Service. <br /> <br /> Council explained that garbage rates are reviewed periodically, that the indivi- <br /> dual rates charged are part of a "package", and any rate considerations should be <br /> heard at the time the Council Committee meets with the Garbage Company. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that <br /> the comments of Best Products be viewed as a complaint and reviewed at the appropriate <br /> time. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Walker presented the Calendar for the information of the Council. <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 9:50 P.M., to an Executive Session to <br /> discuss pending litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 10:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:35 P.M., it was moved by Councilmember <br /> Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that the meeting be adjourned to meet <br /> again in Adjourned Regular Session on April 6, 1982, 8:00 P.M., at the Pleasanton <br /> Council Chambers. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />yS R.
