331

MINUTES
of
THE MEETING
of
THE CITY COUNCIL

December 13, 1982

CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Robert Butler called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at
8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

ROLL CALL
Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows:
Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler were present. Mr.
Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public
Works and Utilities, and Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development,
were present.

AGENDA AMENDMENTS
Mr. Walker stated he had received two letters this date, from Dr. Ralph Juhl and
Ms. Leontine Halverson, requesting that item 9a - Alternate Land Use Plan for Halver-
son and Juhl Property, be continued in order that a more extensive and detailed study
could be prepared for consideration by Council. Councilmember Brandes objected to a
continuance, stating this matter has been continued several times already and he felt
it should be considered at this time. After discussion, Council decided to wait until
the item came up on the agenda to see if any neighbors were in the audience before
determining whether or not to continue the item.

Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion of
this meeting to discuss pending litigation.

CONSENT CALENDAR
It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that
the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved:

a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 11-23-82 and 11-29-82.

b. Proclaim December 12-18, 1982, as Bill of Rights Week.

c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1062, amending the Ordinance related to Charitable
Solicitations.

d. Adoption of Resolution No. 82-477, denying the claim of Susanne V. Cook for
alleged injuries received in a fall on City property which occurred September
14, 1982, and referring the matter to the City Attorney's office for further
handling.

e. Adoption of Resolution No. 82-478, accepting a Public Service Easement from the
McMahon-Oliphant Corporation to procide for maintenance of proposed utilities.

f. Adoption of Resolution No. 82-479, approving Final Map, Improvement Plans, and
Subdivision Agreement for Tract 4936, Pleasanton Commons, Ponderosa Homes.

g. Adoption of Resolution No. 82-480, approving Pacific Gas and Electric Agreement
for installation, maintenance, and operation of new Underground Electric Facili-
ties and Street Lighting Service for Tract 4788, Pleasanton Park (Assessment
District 1981-1).
