145 <br /> <br /> MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL <br /> MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> July 19, 1983 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor R6bert Butler called the Special Meeting of the <br /> City Council to order at 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Acting Deputy City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll <br /> which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, <br /> Wood and Mayor Butler were present. Councilmember Brandes <br /> was absent. Mr Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City <br /> Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public Works and Utilities, <br /> and Ms. Bengtson, Director of Recreation and Human Services, <br /> were present. <br /> <br /> Consideration of Final Map for Tract 4805 and the ImDrovement <br /> Agreement Between the City of Pleasanton and Castlewood <br /> Properties, Inc. <br /> Council reviewed the staff report presented by Mr. <br /> Warnick. <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, seconded by <br /> Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 83-280 approving <br /> the Final Map for Tract 4805 and approving the Improvement <br /> Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and Castlewood <br /> Properties, Inc., pursuant to the staff recommendations, be <br /> adopted. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer brought up the subject of the <br /> proposed closing of the Aquatic Center fields to soccer, <br /> indicating he had been contacted by the Girls Soccer Association, <br /> who were concerned about the loss of this playing field. <br /> <br /> Dolores Bengtson, Director of Recreation and Human <br /> Services, indicated that with the addition of four new <br /> fields at the Sports Park that the soccer teams will have <br /> the same number of fields as they have had in the past even <br /> though the Aquatic Center field is closed to soccer. The <br /> Recreation Department is still making adjustments and have <br /> not received all the figures on prospective players from the <br /> Boys League, but she feels all players will be accommodated. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the Special Meeting <br /> was adjourned at 4:40 p.m. <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />m~s R.
