f. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-1, denying the claim of Katherine Lopez on behalf <br /> of Ruben Lopez, a minor, in the sum of $200,000 for alleged physical and emo- <br /> tional injury by officers of the Pleasanton Police Department during execution <br /> of a search warrant from the U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration, which was <br /> valid on its face; and referring the matter to the City Attorney's office for <br /> further handling. <br /> <br /> g. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-2, denying the claim of George Raymond Wells in <br /> the sum of $750,000 for alleged injuries incurred during an arrest on September <br /> 10, 1982, an incident in which seven City of Pleasanton police officers were in- <br /> Jured after being called to break up a fight at a house on Crestline Road where <br /> a party was going on; and referring this matter to the City Attorney for further <br /> handling. <br /> <br />h. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-3, accepting the improvements of Peters Avenue <br /> at Rose Avenue, Project No. 82-17, approving payment to Balanco Corporation in <br /> the amount of $9,862.83, and authorizing that a Notice of Completion be filed. <br /> <br />i. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-4, approving specifications for street tree pruning <br /> on various City streets and authorizing call for bids. <br /> <br /> j. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-5, approving final map for Tract 5101, Valley Plaza <br /> Townhouses; quitclaim the surface entry rights and easements that are related to <br /> the extraction of water; and accepting quitclaim deed from Valley Plaza Apartments <br /> for the subterranean waters no right of surface entry. <br /> <br />k. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-6, accepting the improvements for rehabilitation of <br /> the Westwind Building, Project No. 82-11, approving payment to Garretto and Asso- <br /> ciates in the amount of $7,680.69, and authorizing that a Notice of Completion <br /> be filed. <br /> <br />1. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-7, approving an agreement with the City of Dublin <br /> for construction, operation, and maintenance of traffic signals on Hopyard/ <br /> Dougherty Road at 1-580 westbound off-ramp. <br /> <br />m. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-8, approving modification of agreement with the <br /> State of California (Caltrans) for construction of a vehicular-bicycle-pedestrian <br /> overcrossing structure and approach roadway on State Highway Route 680 at West <br /> Las Positas Boulevard. <br /> <br />n. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-9, accepting improvements of Sports Park, Phase <br /> III, Little League field improvements, Project No. 82-15, approving payment to <br /> Coast Fence Company in the amount of $1,838.84, and authorizing that a Notice <br /> of Completion be filed. <br /> <br />o. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-10, approving the application of the Chamberlain <br /> Group for a second one-year extension for tentative map approval of a 75 lot <br /> single-family residential subdivision on a 65 acre parcel of land located between <br /> Crellin Road and the City Limit line at the end of Arbor Drive, subject to all <br /> conditions contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2250, zoning on the <br /> property being PUD (Planned Unit Development) District. Councilmember Mercer <br /> voted NO on this item. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: Councilmember Mercer voted NO on item 4o <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br /> 2. 1/11/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
