Current <br />zoning of the property is "A" (Agricultural) District <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> <br />RZ-84-15, Application of Alameda County Flood Control et al to fezone an approxi- <br />mately 3.3 acre site from the "A" (Agricultural) District to the "P" (Public and <br />Institutional) District, located at the northeast corner of the intersection of <br />Parkside Drive and Hopyard Road <br /> Mr. Harris presented his reports (SR 84:548 and SR 84:550) dated October 10, 1984 <br />regarding these two items. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the general plan amendment, the <br />negative declaration, and the rezoning application. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mun Mar, representing Zone 7, stated this will allow for construction of their <br />administrative offices. The project is estimated to be completed by the end of 1985. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer asked what steps Zone 7 is taking to clean up the arroyo adjacent to <br />the Sports Park. Mr. Mar advised that his staff is looking into this matter. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this matter. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 84-526, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in <br />connection with GP-84-8, application of Alameda County Flood Control et al to amend <br />the General Plan Land Use Element designation of an approximately 3.3 acre site from <br />Open Space (Parks and Recreation) to Community Facilities (Public and Institutional) <br />located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Parkside Drive and Hopyard <br />Road, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmenmbers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 84-527, approving GP-84-8, application of Alameda County Flood Con- <br />trol et al to amend the General Plan Land Use Element designation of an approximately <br />3.3 acre site from Open Space (Parks and Recreation) to Community Facilities (Public <br />and Institutional) located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Parkside <br />Drive and Hopyard Road, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Ordinance No. 1161, to be readby title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />approving RZ-84-15, application of Alameda County Flood Control et al to rezone an <br />approximately 3.3 acre site from the "A" (Agricultural) District to the "P" (Public <br /> <br /> 17. 10/16/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
