<br /> Adoption of Ordinance No. I150~ approving RZ-84-9, Application of the Ci.ty Council
<br /> to amend certain sections of the zoning code as they pertain to the height and design
<br />._ of accessory structures in residential districts
<br /> (Intro. 8-14-84, 4-Ayes, 1-Absent)
<br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1150 was introduced on August 14, 1984
<br /> by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that
<br /> Ordinance No. 1150, amending certain sections of Title II pertaining to height and
<br /> design of accessory structures in residential districts, be adopted.
<br /> The roll call vote was as follows:
<br /> AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer
<br /> NOES: None
<br /> ABSENT: Councilmembers Brandes and Butler

<br /> Adoption of Ordinance No. 1151, approving RZ-84-13~ Application of the City of
<br /> Pleasanton for prezoning of an approximately 59 acre site tothe PUD (Planned Unit
<br /> Development)-Open Space District, located approximately 1,800'feet west of the
<br /> intersection of Highland Oaks Drive and Foothill Road
<br /> (Intro. 8-14-84, 4-Ayes, 1-Absent)
<br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1151 was introduced on August 14, 1984
<br /> by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance.

<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that
<br /> Ordinance No. 1151, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton for prezoning
<br /> of an approximately 59 acre site located approximately 1,800 feet west of the inter-
<br /> section of Highland Oaks Drive and Foothill Road to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-
<br /> Open Space District, be adopted.

<br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1152 was introduced on August 14, 1984
<br /> by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance.

<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Moh~, that
<br /> Ordinance No. 1152, amending Title II, Chapter 10 of the Ordinance Code of the City
<br /> of Pleasanton regarding preservation of trees, be adopted.

<br /> SPECIAL REPORTS
<br /> Presentation by the Downtown Task Force Re: Downtown Revitalization Program
<br /> Mr. Roger Manning, 1078 Vintner Way, stated that a little more than one year ago
<br /> the Chamber of Commerce asked for financial assistance from the City for development
<br /> of guidelines for revitalization of the downtown area; the City appropriated $25,000
<br /> for this study. He stated the Chamber selected the firm of Page, Anderson and Turn-
<br /> bull, Inc., to complete the review. He advised that this firm has been working with
<br /> the Chamber Committee for the past eight/nine months in preparing design guidelines
<br /> and the accompany ordinance. He presented these documents to Council.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Bruce Anderson, representing Page, Anderson and Turnbill, elaborated on the
<br /> design guidelines and proposed ordinance. He stated the three major elements of this
<br /> project for downtown revitalization are design, use, and resources.
