He advised that to have a sale for less than five days is not feasible because <br />of the high cost of advertising. <br /> <br /> Ms. Lori Scott Venter, President of the Downtown Association, stated this ordi- <br />nance was reviewed in detail before adoption and she felt it should remain as it is <br />now because there was no protest at the time of adoption. <br /> <br /> Ms. Judy Mayhew, 610 Main Street, past president of the Downtown Association, <br />stated the committee that reviewed this ordinance felt the spread of three days was <br />sufficient for outdoor sales, and she supported the ordinance as written. <br /> <br /> Ms. Lynn Book, President of Amador Shopping Center Business Association, stated <br />that all merchants in the Center strongly feel that outdoor sales should be allowed <br />for five days instead of three days, and will be beneficial from a sales standpoint. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Mayor Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Wood, to initiate an amendment to Ordinance No. 1051 governing outdoor sales to <br />allow outdoor sales for up to five (5) days duration rather than the three (3) day <br />period presently allowed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Resolution Releasing Lands Within Parcel Map 2293 from Further Road Improvement <br />Obligations <br /> Mr. Swift presented the report of the City Attorney (S~ 84:355) dated June 21, <br />1984, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer asked if other developers developing in the area are being treated <br />the same.
