He stated that if this responsibility is implemented, he would want to inspect
every mobile home as soon as possible, and then see what happens after that.

After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Council-
member Wood, directing staff to prepare an ordinance for the City of Pleasanton Build-
ing Department to take responsibility for inspection of mobile homes, and instructing
staff to follow the option of inspecting all mobile home parks initially and thereafter
inspecting on a complaint basis.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

City Comments on BART Five-Year Program
Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:324) dated June 6, 1984, regarding this
matter.

Mr. Ben Fernandez, 2385 Sandpiper Way, representing the Economic Committee of the
Chamber of Commerce, stated the station sites should be purchased as soon as possible.

After discussion, Council directed staff to prepare a letter to BART encouraging
them to conclude their negotiations with Mozart Development Company as quickly as
possible over the purchase of the Pleasanton portion of the Dublin station site and
once that site is purchased to construct an express bus park/ride facility on the
site in an expeditious manner.

Matters for the Information of the Council
Modification of Design of Hewlett Packard Building
Mr. Harris presented his report (IR 84:38) dated May 25, 1984, regarding this
matter.
