Applicatiop of the City of Pleasanton to modify the provisions of Ordinance No. 928~ limiting the uses allowed at the "Valley Business Park" located in the vicinity of .Quarry Lane south of Valley Avenue to allow churches and similar religious and meet- ing facilities in existing structures within the project subject to the review and ~pproval procedures of the City. Zoning for the subject property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) Industrial District Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:42) dated January 16, 1984, regarding this matter. Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on this item. Mr. Randy Boldt, Pastor of Zion FellowshiplChurch, urged Council to approve the zoning amendment. He stated his congregation has looked at several locations and the site in the Valley Business Park best suits their needs relative to location and avail- ability of parking. He stated he felt this use is compatible with other uses in the business park. No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing closed. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that Ordinance No. 1123, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton to modify the provisions of Ordi- nance No. 928, limiting the uses allowed at the Valley Business Park located in the vicinity of Quarry Lane south of Valley Avenue to allow churches and similar religious and meeting facilities in existing structures within the project subject to the review and approval procedures of the City, be introduced.
