237

MINUTES
of
THE MEETING
of
THE CITY COUNCIL

June 19, 1985

CALL TO ORDER
Vice Mayor Frank C. Brandes, Jr., called the Special Meeting of the City Council
to order at 8:00 P.M., with the Pleasanton Housing Authority at the Arroyo Vista
project.

ROLL CALL
The roll call is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor
Brandes were present. Councilmember Butler and Mayor Mercer were absent. Mr. Walker,
City Manager, and Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, were present. Others present were
members of the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board and staff, residents of Arroyo
Vista project, and a representative of the Dublin City Council.

CONSIDERATION OF PLEASANTON HOUSING AUTHORITY REORGANIZATION
Vice Mayor Brandes gave a brief history of events that led to the meeting. He
stated that the discussions now taking place at the Pleasanton City Council were
the result of the City of Dublin formally requesting representation as it relates
to Arroyo Vista. One alternative that was being considered by the Pleasanton City
Council was dividing the two projects now operating under the Pleasanton Housing
Authority. Other alternatives being considered are a Joint Powers Agency (JPA)
with Dublin as well as a Valley-wide JPA which would include Livermore. Vice Mayor
Brandes explained that the purpose of this meeting was to receive input from the
residents of Arroyo Vista and that no decision would be made at the meeting.

The meeting was opened up to questions and comments from the audience.

ADJOURNMENT
Vice Mayor Brandes adjourned the meeting at 9:30 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,
