No action was required or taken by Council on the item. <br /> <br /> Request for Exemption from Growth Manaqement Proqram, Low-Income Set-Aside <br /> Units - John Caroline, PUD-84-7 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 85:281) dated June 4, 1985, regarding <br /> this matter. Mr. Harris advised that since the staff report was written the <br /> applicants have withdrawn their proposal to offer for sale any of the lower- <br /> income units; all of the units will be offered for rental only. In addition, <br /> staff wishes to change the recommended condition of approval directing the <br /> Mayor to execute the necessary agreement to i,~lement the program under which <br /> the GMP exemption would be granted. In order to allow Council review of the <br /> provisions of such agreements and to provide for the consistency among these <br /> agreements in the future, it is now recommended that if Council approves the <br /> request for exemption that the draft agreement be presented at a subsequent <br /> meeting for concurrence. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated that at the time the project was approved Mr. <br /> Caroline had pledged eight units to be priced at $79,500.00. She asked why <br /> only five are included in this request for exemption. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Vanderoovart, 4300 Del Valle Parkway, representing Mr Caroline, <br /> stated that at the time of application Mr. Caroline was not asking for special <br /> exemption. Mr. Vanderoovart did not know the status of the other three units <br /> in question. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes stated he remembers the commitment made by Mr. Caroline <br /> but was not sure that it applies with the changes made here, and that staff <br /> was aware of that commitment when they made their recommendation. <br /> <br /> - 7 6-4-85 <br /> <br /> <br />
