Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the negative declaration. Mr. Gregory Smith, 4943 Foothill Road, stated he is proposing to develop this property with housing compatible to the surrounding neighborhood. He advised that custom homes will be constructed on the property Mr. Al Lombardo, 7608 Highland Oaks Drive, expressed concern regarding aesthetic impact of the buildings on the existing surroundings. There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed on the application and the negative declaration. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 85-245, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in connection with RZ-85-10, application of Harold and Marcia Gregerson and Gregory Smith to rezone an approximately 2.0 acre site located at 4943 Foothill Road from the "A" (Agricultural) to the R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) District, be adopted.
