Zoning for <br />the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial, Commercial and Of- <br />fice District <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br />Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 85:244) dated May 7, 1985, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br />Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the appliction and the <br />negative declaration. <br /> <br />Mr. Jim McKean, Partner of SJD Investments, introduced Mr. Jack Worstel, <br />architect for the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Worstel presented site plans of the proposed project. He reviewed <br />parking, traffic flow and circulation. He also presented slides showing <br />building design. <br /> <br />No one in the audience spoke in opposite to this item. <br /> <br />Council discussion ensued regarding the widening of Johnson Drive, land- <br />scaping of DSRSD property, control of parking, conditions of approval, and <br />traffic levels. <br /> <br />There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Bran- <br />des, that Resolution No. 85-244, determining on the basis of a review of ini- <br />tial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environ- <br />mental impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a <br />negative declaration is appropriate in connection with PUD-85-5, application <br />of SJD Investments for Planned Unit Development plan approval to construct a <br />four-story, approximately 66,000 sq. ft. office building on an approximately <br />2.8 acre site located at 7090 Johnson Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr,and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Bra,n- <br />des, that Ordinance No. 1197, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, approving PUD-85-5, application of SJD Investments for <br />Planned Unit Development plan approval to construct a four-story, approximate- <br />ly 66,000 sq. ft. office building on an approximately 2.8 acre site located at <br />7090 Johnson Drive, subject to all conditions contained in Planning Commission <br /> <br />- 11 - <br /> <br />5-7-85 <br />
