Mr. Will Heinrich, 3683 Vineyard Avenue, asked for approval of the application, and stated he agrees with the staff report. Mrs. Sharon Naylor, 415 Linden Way, stated that based upon the recent traffic studies and the fact that Remen Tract residents will be meeting with City officials next week regarding pre-annexation agreements, she felt this application is premature. She requested the matter be continued until after the above-set meeting is held. Mr. Harry Caldwell, 3745 Vineyard Avenue, stated he and his wife are in favor of the rezoning application, and he urged Council to vote to approve the item. Mr. Tom Dillard, 452 Linden Way, asked Council to postpone any decision on this matter until after the pre-annexation meeting on April 3rd. There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed on the application and the negative declaration. After discussion, it was movedby Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- member Brandes, to reopen the public hearing on RZ-84-18, application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone the five parcels totalling approximately 1.9+ acres located at 3655, 3683, and 3731 Vineyard Avenue to the PUD (Planned Unit DeveYopment) Medium Density Residential District or any other zoning district in conformance with the General Plan, and accompanying Negative Declaration, and continue this matter until after the meeting between Remen Tract residents and City officials. Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. No one in the audience spoke in protest to the weed abatement program for 1985. Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 85-161, after hearing no protests, approVing the weed abatement program for 1985, and authorizing the appropriate staff members to proceed with the abatement of the nuisance caused by noxious or dangerous weeds growing on certain properties in the City of Pleasanton as set forth in Exhibit A of Resolution No. 85-135, be adopted.
