density homes in peripheral areas of the City which would act as
a buffer between the more developed areas of the Valley floor and
the agriculture, grazing and open space uses further away from
town.

Parcel Specific Land Use Proposals

West of Foothill Road

Parcel 1 - Various Owners: There was no public testimony and the
consensus was to retain the approximately 3300 acres of Public
Health & Safety in areas above 670 feet or greater than 25% in
slope.

Parcel 2 - Various Owners: Mr. Dave Baker, 6036 Via de los
Cerros, Pleasanton, spoke regarding Parcel 2B. He hopes that the
property will be annexed by the City and they would like their
.... proposal for 450 to 600 units to be included in the EIR. This
involves a total of 270 acres.

Sig Kreigsman, Pleasanton, is a property owner who stated the
property owners would work with the Planning Commission and City
Council regarding annexation.

Mr. Brandes stated that we will include this property in the EIR
study.

Mr. John Ferreri, 865 Abbey Street, Pleasanton, and business
partner, Duncan Matteson, stated that the community seems to .be
happy with Valley Plaza I and II. He sees a definite need for
this type of housing in another area. He recognizes the need for
some low to moderate housing. He would like to see a 10-12 unit
per acre condominium/townhouse of real quality in the $80,000 -
$100,000 bracket. They wish to seek annexation as early as
possible.

Mr. Innes pointed out that traffic problems are great in that
area. Mr. Matteson said they will pay their share to alleviate
the traffic problem.

The consensus was to redesignate approximately 400 acres from
PH&S to Rural Density Residential allowing 1 housing unit per 5
acres on all lands below 670 feet in elevation and less than 25%
in slope.

Between Foothill Road and 1-680

Paroel 3 - Mozart: Mr. John Lovewell, 435 Tasso Street, Palo
Alto, asked that the 20 acres be redesignated as Commercial and
Office.

Margaret Maduell, 5680 San Antonio Street, Pleasanton, stated
that she was a member of the Residential Review Committee. She
pointed out that we have very few places in Pleasanton for Very

- 8 -
