229 <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler asked when the sprinkler system improvments in the <br /> Parks on First Street would be completed. Mr. Okamura advised that progress <br /> is slow but that the contractor has been told that no extension will be gran- <br /> ted.and that the improvements must be completed as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated he has received a request from Pleasanton's Sister <br />City Tulancingo, asking if they can do something culturally for Pleasanton. <br />They have suggested sending an artist to Pleasanton to paint a mural on the <br />inside of a building, tying Tulancingo and Pleasanton history together. He <br />advised that representatives from Tulancingo will be in Pleasanton in Septem- <br />ber and would like to make arrangements at that time to paint the mural. <br />After discussion regarding the best location to have the mural painted, Coun- <br />cil expressed support of the mural being painted and decided to determine the <br />location for such a painting at a later date. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Wood stated is would be appropriate to appoint a member of <br />the Council to attend Sand and Gravel Committee meetings, now that the law <br />suit between the City and the Gravel Companies has been settled. After dis- <br />cussion, Mayor Mercer appointed Councilmember Wood, as the City's representa- <br />tives, to attend Sand and Gravel Committee meetings. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes advised that negotiations are continuing regarding <br />the cable franchise agreement, but that progress is slow and the expiration <br />date has been extended to September 30, 1985, or until such time as negotia- <br />tions are completed. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />PUD-81-30-28D, Application of Dillingham Construction, Inc., for design review <br />for a three story, approximately 117,611 sq. ft. multi-tenant office building <br />on an approximately 6 acre site located on the southwest corner of Inglewood <br />Drive and the Chabot Canal (Site 14B) in the Hacienda Business Park. Zoninq <br />for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial, Commercial and <br />Offices District <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the Public Hearing Open on this item, and continued <br />to the meeting of July 16, 1985, 8:00 p.m., in the Pleasanton Council Cham- <br />bers, at the request of the applicant. <br /> <br />PUD-84-20, Application of Hari Puri for development.plan approval for a six <br />parcel single~family residential development on an approximately 4.2 acre site <br />located at 3885 Foothill Road, Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Low Density Residential District <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negatfve Declaration <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 85:330) dated July 2, 1985, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Richard Glenn, Planning Consultant, 205B Main Street, representing the <br />applicant, stated he concurred with the staff report and conditions with the <br /> <br /> -4- 7-2-85 <br /> <br /> <br />
