Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development}-Industrial/Commercial and Offices District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report {SR 86:249) dated June 17, 1986, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on this application. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pat O'Brian, representing Prudential Insurance Company, stated he is <br /> basically in agreement with the staff report. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hear- <br /> ing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and sconded by Councilmember Butler, <br /> that Ordinance No. 125g, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br /> thereof, approving PUD-86-6, application of the Prudential Insurance Company <br /> of America to rezone an approximately 14.6 acre site from PUD (Planned Unit <br />C~) Development)-Industrial/Commercial and Offices District to the PUD (Planned <br /> Unit Development}-High Density Residential District, located generally in the <br />C)') area bounded by West Las Positas Boulevard, a portion of the former railroad <br />~-~ right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company, and the right-of- <br />L]_] way of the Stoneridge Drive extension, be introduced. <br />C)") The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />~ NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> GP-86-4, Application of Leroy and Rose Carrera to amend the General Plan Land <br /> Use Element designation of an approximately 11,700 square foot site from Medi- <br /> um Density Residential to High Density Residential, located at 856 Palomino <br /> Drive <br /> <br /> Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 86:259i dated June 17, 1986, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br /> negative declaration. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Joseph Obrien, 3529 Touriga Drive, opposed the high density residen- <br /> tial zoning; he expressed concern regarding increased traffic and loss of <br /> view. Mayor Brandes explained the rezoning designation is required to bring <br /> this property into conformance with the General Plan. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hear- <br /> ing closed on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br /> that Resolution No. 86-284, determining on the basis of a review of initial <br /> environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental <br /> <br /> 11 - 6-17-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
