233 <br />Commercial District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 86:465) dated October 23, 1986, regard- <br />ing this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harvey Levine, Attorney representing the Koll Company, stated this <br />agreement is similar to the one adopted recently for Prudential Insurance Com- <br />pany Phase II, except that it goes out to 1998. He stated that Planning Com- <br />mission expressed concern regarding the removal of certain trees along the <br />arroyo. He advised that Koll Company agrees to replace the trees by March <br />1987. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Gresham, 4309 Hacienda Drive, representing the Koll Company, <br />stated they met with surrounding neighbors and there were no specific objec- <br />tions to the proposed development; it was a cooperative atmosphere. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hear- <br />ing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Ordinance No. 1280, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, approving PUD-80-2-2M, application of Koll Bernal Avenue Associates <br />and Patrician Associates, Inc., for development agreement approval for a busi- <br />ness park complex to be located on an approximately 99 acre site, located <br />generally in the area bounded by Bernal Avenue, Interstate 680, the Arroyo del <br />Valle, and Valley Avenue, as modified by the Planning Commission to include <br />relandscaping the Arroyo, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />PUD-85-8-2M, Application o~ Callahan, Sweeney, and O'Brien and Prudential In- <br />surance Company for a major modification to an approved planned unit develop- <br />ment zoning for a business park, including changes to zoning, uses, and <br />development standards t~be located on an approximately 10.9 acre site located <br />at the southeast corner of Owens Drive and Chabot Drive. Zoning for the prop- <br />erty is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial, Commercial and Offices <br />District <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> <br />PUD-85-8-2D, Application of Callahan, Sweeney, and O'Brien and Prudential <br />surance Company of America for design review approval for an approximately <br />35,150 sq. ft. auto dealership, an approximately 16,000 sq. ft. retail commer- <br />cial building, and an approximately 38,350 sq. ft. theater complex, and re- <br />lated facilities, to be located on an approximately 8.2 acre site located <br />generally at the northeast corner of the intersection of Owens Court and Owens <br />Drive.
